I think we all know those moments when we want to start something new but do not know where to begin.
Sometimes we feel the need for fresh inspiration, new ideas or simply a different approach to making art. But finding a new direction is often easier said than done.

Over the years, I have discovered that inspiration rarely appears out of nowhere. More often, it grows through action, experimentation and curiosity. Through playing with materials, following small ideas and allowing unexpected things to happen, new possibilities slowly begin to emerge.

In this course, I will guide you step by step through my own creative process and show you many of the starting points I use in my work. Together we will explore different materials and techniques, from pencils, graphite and pigment sticks to acrylic ink, collage and paint.

Rather than focusing on perfect results, this course is about learning to enjoy the process of making, experimenting freely and discovering what feels exciting and meaningful to you.

Throughout the course you will:

• experiment with a wide range of mixed media materials and techniques
• explore mark making, layering, texture and collage
• learn how different materials can work together
• gain insight into my personal creative process and decision making
• discover ways to generate ideas and move past creative blocks
• create a personal source of inspiration from your own experiments
• develop a more playful, intuitive and confident approach to making art

The course includes 12 video lessons (including a bonus lesson) and guides you step by step through a layered creative process where each lesson builds upon the previous one.

This course is especially helpful if:

• you feel creatively stuck and want to rediscover the joy of experimenting
• you would like to explore abstract mixed media and collage
• you want to loosen up, play more and move beyond perfectionism
• you are looking for new ideas and a more personal way of working

As part of the course, you will also have access to a private community area on the course website where you can share your work, ask questions and connect with other participants.
