Create Unique Collage Papers
Ready to explore new techniques and create collage papers that feel truly personal and unique?
Creating your own collage material can completely change the way you work. Instead of relying on ready-made papers, you begin to build a collection of colours, textures, marks and patterns that reflect your own artistic interests and creative decisions.
Over time, these handmade papers become more than just background material. They become part of your visual language and help bring more cohesion, individuality and depth to your artwork.
In this course, I would love to share many of my favourite techniques for creating collage papers and mixed media surfaces. I will guide you step by step through a wide range of materials and processes, from mark making tools, graphite and rusted objects to acrylic ink, paint and gel plate techniques.
Throughout the course you will:
- experiment with a variety of techniques for creating unique collage papers
- explore texture, layering, marks, letters and organic shapes
- learn how different materials interact and influence each other
- discover ways to create more personal and cohesive collage material
- develop a collection of papers tailored to your own artistic interests
- gain insight into my creative process and the decisions behind the materials I create
- learn how to reuse scraps and leftovers in creative ways
The course includes 12 video lessons (including 2 bonus lessons) and step-by-step demonstrations.
