2. Early Play and Learning

€249.00

This course is about the cognitive development of the child and the principles of early learning using a unique and in Germany almost completely unknown developmental model of early play. This provides a completely new perspective on early play and how children learn to learn and understand, and allows us to see and approach learning difficulties and challenging behaviour with new eyes.

It contains in short texts much of what I have learnt over 40 years about early play and the Waldon Method from experienced colleagues and from my own experience with children, adolescents and their families and would like to make it available here in a collected form.

The course consists of 7 lessons in which I show you how you can support your child in learning to play and learn through simple play activities.   What you will find in this chapter:

  • Overview & a new explanatory model for understanding and remediating learning difficulties
  • Play materials, activities & strategies to get the child into doing, playing and learning
  • Clear instructions with lots of examples and pictures
  • Examples & real stories of children's developmental progress
  • Downloadable PDF checklists

Some things in this chapter may surprise you and invite you to play with your child in new and perhaps unfamiliar ways, helping them to understand the world and learn to play and learn through play activities that are simpler than you had ever imagined.
