How does this work?
During 4 weeks, you will read and listen to 4 unique short stories. Every story comes with . At the end of each week, you will get a writing task and a “bigger” speaking task.
How much time do I need to invest?
You will need about 30 minutes a day to complete the program successfully. About half of your tasks are based on audios that you can listen to while you go to work or do your dishes. At the end of the program, you will have mastered new language bits, both vocabulary and grammar, and will be able to use them actively.
What level do I need to complete the program successfully?
The program is most suitable for advanced beginners and students who just got started with B1. If you’re a beginner (A1), you may still participate but will need more than 30 minutes and must be willing to make an extra effort. If your level is B1+ or higher, you will probably find the program too easy and may want to wait for the launch of a similar program for B1/B2 students.

- Dates: May 13 – June 9, 2024 (Tasks can completed until June 16)
- 4 short stories (text & audios)
- Max 12 participants
- Cosy Telegram group where you can ask questions, communicate with the other participants and will get daily mini-tasks (Monday – Friday)
- Each week ends with a “bigger” speaking task. You will record yourself, send me the file via Telegram and will get detailed and personal feedback.
- Each participant will have their own Google Doc for the writing tasks.
- Materials and assignments will be sent to you each Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
- All materials can be downloaded and are for you to keep.
- Continuous support and guidance, you will study independently but not alone

I’m Daniela and I started to write short stories and graded readers for beginner and intermediate students of German in 2021. Being an enthusiastic language learner myself, I love to create materials that I would like to use myself, a mix of interesting content and grammar in context. I also believe in a combination of independent learning and feedback from a teacher plus interaction with other. This is what I’m offering you.
IMPORTANT
- This is a moderated live challenge. Please sign up only if you’re willing to commit to learning German for 4 weeks in a row. You will have time to post assignments and ask questions until June 16. After that date, you will still have access to the materials but will no longer get any support or feedback.
- All speaking activities will be via the Telegram app. Please make sure to have it installed and ready to use before the challenge starts. If you’re not able or willing to use Telegram, you can’t do this program.
